An individual is not confirmed and presession materials are not sent until full payment or properly certified city,
state or federal voucher, or purchase order has been received by NDC's Training Division. When payment is
received, materials for the course will be sent to you. These materials include an assignment to be completed
prior to the first day of class.
All registrants must meet established prerequisites. Please note there are no exceptions made to the
prerequisite requirements.
| One-Day Course | $230 |
| Two-Day Course | $460 |
| Three-Day Course | $690 |
| Four-Day Course | $920 |
| Five-Day Course | $1,150 |
Tuition is discounted by 10 percent if payment is received before a course's registration deadline. This discount is not available for payments received after the registration deadline. Tuition refunds are made only if NDC cancels a course or if a participant withdraws his or her registration 10 or more business days prior to the start of a course. A credit, not a refund, is given to registrants who cancel fewer than 10 business days prior to the start of the course. Credits can be applied to tuition for future courses. In addition, registrants are assessed a $100 withdrawal fee. NDC reserves the right to cancel any course and make tuition refunds only.
Individuals are responsible for their hotel and meal expenses. NDC has secured a block of rooms at a special group rate in the hotel where each course is held. The block will be held until the course's registration deadline. After this date, registrations will be taken on a space available basis, and higher rates may apply. To receive the reduced rate, make your reservation early and state that you are participating in a National Development Council training course.

Participants are responsible for their own travel expenses. Individuals are advised to register for a course making airline reservations. Classes begin at 9:00 a.m. on the first day of the scheduled course. Therefore, participants should arrive the day before the start of the course. Teams of students are assigned homework each evening, which takes about three hours to complete. Plan your schedule accordingly. Certification course examinations are administered on the last day of class. Students are required to complete and return the examinations before leaving the course. When making travel arrangements, please keep in mind that most participants finish the exam by 3:00 p.m.
A presession assignment is sent to all confirmed and paid registrants before each class, typically about three to four weeks ahead of time. The assignment must be completed prior to the first day of class. Individuals who register and/or confirm their registration 14 days or less before the first day of a course must pay express delivery charges for shipping their presession assignment.
The attire for the courses is casual. Course participants must bring the following:
• Completed presession assignment
• Paper
• Pens and pencils
• Calculator (a financial calculator is recommended)
NDC instructors use Hewlett-Packard menu driven financial calculators. Participants attending the HD422 and HD430 courses must bring a laptop computer equipped with Microsoft Excel version 2003 or higher. We can accommodate participants who use Microsoft Excel 2007.
